LLM(Hons) (Auckland), LLB(Hons)/BA (Canterbury)
Olivia has an LLB (Hons) and a BA majoring in American Studies from the University of Canterbury, where she won the University Prize in Law. She also has an LLM with First Class Honours in environmental law from the University of Auckland and earned a First in Paper Award for her research on the prospects for a world environment organisation. Olivia’s career began as a Supreme Court Judge’s Clerk to the Rt Hon Justice Tipping, after which she worked in private practice both in New Zealand and the UAE. Following her LLM, she was engaged as a humanitarian and environmental policy officer for the New Zealand Permanent Mission to the United Nations and WTO in Geneva, and subsequently as an advocacy manager and project advisor at New Zealand Winegrowers.
After spending some time at home raising two little boys, Olivia is joining the EDS team initially to assist on the RM Reform Project and selected litigation matters.
