Pathways to Prosperity
The latest EDS publication was launched recently by Director-General of Conservation, Lou Sanson. Pathways follows on from Vanishing Nature which analysed the state of biodiversity in New Zealand and looked at how the continuing decline could be turned around. Pathways looks at practical ways in which environmental outcomes could be improved within a development context.
The report’s author, Dr Marie Brown, has suggested 14 improvements to resource management practice that can be implemented now – without legislative or administrative reform. It’s a must-read for every developer and council regulator.
Pathways is available from the EDS bookshop here.
