PeopleFiona Driver
General Manager
Fiona oversees the day-to-day management of the Society. She is also EDS's in-house events organiser and is responsible for the project management of EDS's annual national conference and EDS's involvement in the Climate Change & Business conference series. Prior to joining EDS, Fiona managed conferences and events both in New Zealand and Australia for many years.
Gary Taylor
Executive Director
Gary provides direction and leadership for EDS on a day-today basis and currently manages EDS's litigation programme. Gary is also currently a director of the Auckland Regional Transport Authority, Chairman of the Community Medical Centre Trust, Chairman of the Climate Change and Business Centre and a director of the Hobsonville Land Company. Gary is a JP and was recently awarded a QSO for services to conservation.
Raewyn Peart
Senior Policy Analyst
Raewyn oversees EDS's policy work including undertaking research projects and preparing publications. Raewyn is a qualified lawyer with over 15 years experience in environmental law and policy. She has worked as a solicitor for the Auckland-based law firms Kensington Swan and Russell McVeagh, as a planning manager for Brierley Properties, and as an environmental policy analyst for the environmental division of the CSIR in Durban. Shay SchlaepferSolicitor
Shay Schlaepfer is EDS's in-house solicitor who provides legal support both to EDS's policy and litigation activties. Shay is a recent graduate from the University of Auckland and holds a BSc/LLB conjoint degree majoring in biology. Shay has travelled extensively in Italy, and has spent time in Paris, London, Jakarta, China, Australia and Japan.
Emma Green
Emma works with the General Manager on EDS's conferences and events and related media liaison. Emma holds a BSc(Hons) in Psychology from York University and worked as a recruitment consultant and local government representative before undertaking her role with EDS .
